Nourish & Thrive

Co-hosted by Danyale Thomas, FSP & Menopause Mentor, Nourish & Thrive built upon the momentum from the I AM Worthy event. It focused on making anti-inflammatory eating accessible to Black women aged 35+ navigating perimenopause and menopause. Certified Dietician Michelle Babbs, MS, CD, RD, guided participants in creating beauty boards with Mediterranean ingredients and crafting wholesome beans, greens, and grains bowls. Supported by Jian Ma, PhD, this hands-on experience was about using food as medicine. We provided all the recipes—both for the meals and four delicious mocktails. The day also included an intimate conversation where participants shared their struggles and supported one another on this life-altering journey. Each woman left with a copy of Fast Like a Girl by Dr. Mindy Pelz to continue their healthy lifestyle shift.

The goal was simple: to make the perimenopausal and menopausal journey more accessible, demystified, and supportive for Black women. A space where they could be themselves, feel seen, heard, and understood. Watch the recap of this event
